Nooks, a San Francisco-based AI startup, has raised $43 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from existing investors Lachy Groom and Tola Capital. This brings Nooks’ total funding to $70 million.

Founded by Stanford classmates Daniel Lee, Rohan Suri, and Nikhil Cheerla in 2020, Nooks offers an AI platform designed to help sales teams generate pipelines more efficiently by automating time-consuming tasks. The platform is used by sales development representatives, account executives, sales leaders, sales enablement, and revenue operations. Nooks provides several AI assistants to optimize sales efforts.

The AI Dialing Assistant helps teams have more quality conversations by finding phone numbers, skipping answering machines, leaving voicemails, conducting pre-call research, and taking notes. The AI Coaching Assistant aims to reduce ramp times and increase conversion rates by transcribing and scoring calls to highlight areas for improvement. It also prepares sales reps for real-world selling scenarios via AI simulations of prospect conversations.

The AI Prospecting Assistant eliminates the need for laborious online research by researching target accounts, identifying buying signals, building prospect lists, and drafting emails. Nooks integrates with popular sales tools such as Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Hubspot, and Salesforce, as well as data tools like Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism, and LeadIQ.

These partnerships enable a quicker return on investment by syncing with customers’ existing go-to-market systems. CEO Dan Lee commented, “There’s a camp of sales leaders who don’t believe in AI and want to stick with old-school methods. And there’s a newer camp who believe AI will completely replace sales reps.

Nooks is somewhere in the middle. We believe sales is fundamentally human and AI will empower reps—not replace them. We’re building AI assistants to automate the busywork in pipeline generation so humans can focus on the human parts of selling.”

The company recently reported 4x year-over-year revenue growth.

“Nooks is bringing AI to the sales process in a human way—enabling sales teams with AI assistants,” said Mamoon Hamid, Partner at Kleiner Perkins. “Their approach is already empowering thousands of sales reps, and Dan and his team have demonstrated the vision and acumen to build a generational company.”

World-class organizations like Seismic, Fivetran, Amplitude, Modern Health, and Verkada rely on Nooks to power their sales teams, attributing more than 70 percent of their sales pipeline to the platform. Alyson Watson, CEO of Modern Health, said, “If your sales team isn’t using an AI assistant platform like Nooks today, you should be worried about hitting your 2025 targets.

Nooks helps drive over 70 percent of our sourced pipeline. My reps love Nooks—they’d quit if we got rid of it.”
