Whoever said that vintage is beautiful forgot to add that it’s so much fun too! Visit Nintendo8.com to discover a wealth of Nintendo games in different categories: action, adventure, arcade, RPG, Japanese, puzzle, sports, etc.
They are all in original 8 bit color and play the original MIDI tunes, so after you’ve been playing a while it’s very much like the time-machine. Playing is of course free and registration is not required, though there’s a link to subscribe to their mailing list which is broken (and my heart too, as a result); the site publishes new games every day, so there’s some new way to procrastinate in a creative way. It would be great for the site to allow RSS subscriptions, and also to provide the codes in order to embed these cool games in social network profiles, blogs or sites, or maybe as a widget, or a banner, or something: Nintendo8.com is perfect for viral marketing, and lots of people would be raving about it if they knew of its existence. Hope they can put some little work into it!
