Nintendo has launched a new music streaming app called “Nintendo Music” exclusively for Switch Online subscribers. The app allows users to listen to classic gaming tunes from various Nintendo games spanning the last few decades. Users can access curated playlists themed around different games, moments, moods, or characters.

They can also create their own personalized playlists. The app supports both streaming and downloading tracks for offline listening. One standout feature of Nintendo Music is its spoiler filter.

This allows users to avoid tracks that might spoil games they haven’t played or finished yet.

For uninterrupted listening, users can loop songs or extend select tracks to 15, 30, or 60 minutes of continuous play. The app features music from a wide range of Nintendo systems and game series.

This includes popular titles like Splatoon and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For the Splatoon series, users can find tracks from C-Side, Front Roe, Damp Socks feat.

Off the Hook, w-3, Grizzco, and DJ Octavio. Some notable songs include “Clickbait,” “Sandy Side Up,” “Tentacle to the Metal,” “Surge & Submerge,” “Toxic Anoxic,” and “I’m Octavio (F34RME Remix).”

Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can enjoy Island Life Orientation tracks for various weather conditions, Mystery Island tracks, music from special events like Wedding Season and Festivale Frolic, and a selection of K.K. Slider performances. The app also includes ambient sounds from locations like the Museum and seasonal event-specific music.

The user interface of Nintendo Music closely resembles that of YouTube Music. It features similar placement of cover art, album names, and buttons for saving, downloading, and accessing options. The app also has a familiar miniplayer, bottom bar organization, and Now Playing screen layout.

Nintendo Music is currently available for Nintendo Switch Online members on Android and iOS devices. The launch of this app follows a series of recent announcements from Nintendo, showcasing their efforts to diversify offerings for their dedicated fanbase.
