Who buys a newspaper anymore? Snehah.com knows that the majority of us just go online and read the news once we get to work, and usually its just a cursory reading at that.
Snehah aims to help us do that quick online scan by compiling the top stories of the day and putting short clippings on their site. The site is designed like a newspaper. The only difference here is that you click on the title to get to the original source and can then learn more about the issue. Every article is indexed and catalogued (eg., entertainment, arts, technology), which makes navigating the site quite easy. I think the idea is clever and inspired, and would only suggest they add some more color to the print. They don’t post photos so they don’t slow down the dowloading process, but some color fonts could help jazz up the site a bit.
Newspaper.snehah.com In Their Own Words
What is the whole idea of launching this site? A: Now a days people are busy and we never get time to read a daily news paper at home/office. Since most of the time we spend on PC/Computer at office and at home. So thought to launch an online news paper, even while working we can go through the news. By keeping this point of view we even Simplified the news to read it a cut short. Since the news posts are simplified we thought to name the site as – Simplified Information Portal. Why there are no provisions for comments, votes etc?
A: The question no. 1 also resembles the answer – i.e, busy. So we dont want you to work on ‘to vote’ or ‘to comment’ on any post – and to make you to read the top post we also made a specified category for Top Posts as ‘Top Stories’.
Why the layout doesn’t have any images? A: Its simple – we doesn’t want people to waste their time on waiting for the graphics to load. Just want people to focus on the information provided rather than on graphics.
From where the news is coming from? A: The news are reflected from different source of news – since it is difficult to check sites for different news.
