The new iPad mini, powered by the A17 Pro chip, is now compatible with Apple’s professional video editing app, Final Cut Pro. This update allows Final Cut Pro to work seamlessly with both M-series chips and the A17 Pro chip in the latest iPad mini. Apple’s audio editing app, Logic Pro, is also compatible with this device, requiring any iPad model with an A12 Bionic chip or newer.

However, some Final Cut Pro features are not fully supported on the new iPad mini due to hardware or software limitations.

Additionally, the new iPad mini does not support the Stage Manager feature, which is not surprising given its smaller 8.3-inch display compared to the larger 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro and iPad Air models.

On supported iPads, the feature also enables the use of an external display with up to 6K resolution, allowing users to work with up to four apps on the iPad and up to four apps on the external display simultaneously. The new iPad mini is set to be released this Wednesday, offering users a compact and portable device with enhanced capabilities for video and audio editing, albeit with some limitations compared to its larger counterparts.
