Netflix connects people with the movies they love. They do this trough a system called Cinematch, in which they base the prediction of a movie you will like by looking at your movie preferences.
So Cinematch basically will tell you whether you wich movies you will enjoy watching. The idea of this site is to promote a contest in which you and your team will have to create a system that beats Cinematch. The price will be money and you will be given a series of anonymous rating data and a prediction accuracy bar 10% better than that on Cinematch. If you beat this system you will receive money. In this site you can find all the information you need to know on the contest rules. The leader board shows the teams competing until today and the improvement obtained. You can register to the contest on this site update your team information and submit your files. You will also find a section on this site that will allow you to download the data to start competing.
