Back in 1999, the National Eating Disorders Association established a toll free help line to assist individuals and family affected by that illness. Now the NEDA has its own web site to further assist people.
The idea is to support, prevent, cure, and care. Nowadays, eating disorders are unfortunately more common than ten years ago and it is considered an illness. In the site you will find information regarding programs and events, educational programs, and a parents and friends network. The community network brings people together to share info, stories, and support themselves. There is an information section so you can find educators and coaches, treatments, and links. You will also be able to read some stories of hope, so you don’t feel alone. If you want to get involved, you can do it. Whether you are an individual or a corporation, you can support NEDA. You can apply to become a volunteer by filling out the online application. Visit Nationaleatingdisorders.org for further info.
