As you might’ve guessed by the name of this site, NationalCherryBlossomFestival.org is the official website of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
For all of you out there who didn’t know, this is a spring celebration festival held every year in Washington D.C. that commemorates the 1912 gift to the city of Washington of 3.000 cherry trees by the government of Japan. It’s a two week festival with sushi and sake celebrations, classes about cherry blossoms, bike tours, cultural performances, fashion shows, dance, singing, martial arts, and a rugby tournament, among others.
