MyFriendsMosaic.com – Create A Mosaic With Your Friends

MyFriendsMosaic.comI have noticed a sort of trend to bring some corporeity into the relationships we have on social services such as Facebook and Twitter. Not so long ago I reviewed a site named My Famebook that let you have a Facebook notebook created and delivered to your doorstep.

That Facebook notebook had updates from your best-loved contacts at the bottom of every page. Well, it looks like Twitter’s hour has come. The service I am reviewing right now is aimed both at those who use the micro-sharing stalwart and LiveJournal. It will let you have a mosaic made with pictures of your fellow contacts and then have an item printed using the resulting artwork.

It is a bit difficult to make some generalizations when it comes to services like this one. It is obvious that there are people who like to be closer to their contacts at all times, even when they are not sitting in front of their desktops. They might take a liking to something like this by printing a mug, a T-shirt, a bag or a mousepad. How much does that make virtual friends become real is up to each person, ultimately.
