MuxTape is of course the latest music site to make waves on the internet. It’s essentially, the online version of your old mix tapes, the kind you used to give to friends at school and exchange for other mix tapes.
Now that it’s become such a phenomenon, other MuxTapes apps are rolling in. One such app is called MuxFind. As you can guess from the name, MuxFind helps you search through Muxtapes to find music you like. It works like any other search engine. Enter in a musician, artist or song name and MuxFind will find it. You can filter your searches by artist or by Muxtape. With the second option, you’ll get all songs by the band/artist that are included in any Muxtapes. The site will also pull up similar artists found on the tapes. To find a specific MuxTape, perform the search ‘Discover by MuxTape’; this search will also bring up similar Muxtapes. Of course results may be mixed, as each tape is as eclectic as its maker.
