Parents worry more than ever nowadays, what with technology lending itself to a thousand negative uses and only a handful of good ones. That’s what they think, at least – that social sites like Facebook and Twitter are plagued by people and content that can but be a nefarious influence on their little ones. The truth isn’t that drastic, of course. If we started enumerating all the positive uses and effects of the Internet, we’d soon arrive at the conclusion that these are as abundant as these which are questionable.
And reducing the impact (and even presence) of all that is questionable about the Internet is the aim of this service. Mobile Minder lets parents keep a watch on what they children do and who they talk to when they are online. Mobile Minder allows parents to be notified when specific vocabulary is used by any of their friends on social sites, and the provided mobile app also makes for knowing the whereabouts of their children at all times. Parents can create geofences, and receive a timely reminder when (and if) their children move out of these.
Moreover, Mobile Minder enables children to request immediate assistance in the event anything bad happens to them by making an emergency call. And children are also allowed to use this feature in the event they get lost.
