MixTurtle allows you to search for and create playlists with speed. When searching for an artist you’d like to hear, a drop-down list appears displaying an alphabetical listing of the artists available according to what you’ve entered so far and the artists alphabetically surrounding them.
The results appear as a list of that artist’s tracks in bold font. Clicking on a track will start to play what is there, displaying how many of that track were found in case one source requires a password or isn’t exactly what you’re looking for. If you’ve created an account, you can then add your desired tracks to a playlist for easy reference and playback. You can easily share any playlist with the direct link they provide you straight to the songs you’ve selected. So if you want to quickly create and share lists of songs with your friends, MixTurtle could be your application of choice.
MixTurtle.com In Their Own Words
“The music search engine.”
Why MixTurtle.com It Might Be A Killer
The interface is attractive and clear, the site’s premise being very basic and straight forward. Being able to see the artists closest to your search is a cool tool other music sites don’t offer that could allow you to discover some new music because of the way it’s designed and how easy it is to check out tunes on the site. Adding songs to your playlist is easy with a simple click of the plus sign. Being able to directly link to playlists is also a useful function.
Some Questions About MixTurtle.com
How are they planning on making a profit from their site? What other features are they planning on adding? More control of playlists needs to be added so that if you decide you don’t want a track on one of the lists you can easily delete it. Also, you don’t have any control over which playlist a track is added to, so you can’t continue to add and change your lists and adding new tunes to your current list is also pretty confusing.
