Ranking is done using heuristics based on Second Life structures and social networking. The search engine can be used within Second Life et al or simply via your web browser without your having to log-in. Also, given the visual nature of metaverse worlds, the engine provides you with pictures, descriptions and SLURLs so you can teletransport directly to the object in question. It would be nice to see more filtering options. Also advanced search features could be added. It’s likely not to be the only search engine catering to the SL world. It needs to add more functionality.
