MemoryPress is an online bookmaking mash-up that will allow you to import Blog Entries, MS Word Docs, Online Condolences, Flickr Photos, and then publish them into a beautiful hardbound book. More than a photo book, MemoryPress can easily typeset and organize up to 480 pages! Previously you needed QuarkXPress ($749), InDesign ($699), or TeX to do this kind of task.
To my knowledge, this has NEVER been done online before. It is really the world’s first online typesetting system.
Because MemoryPress is online, there is nothing to download. It also allows you to collaborate online, kind of like Google Docs, but to create your family history.
MemoryPress’ purpose is to publish Family History books (baby, wedding, memorial, biographies, etc…), archiving them online and making them search-able, while publishing them into traditional book form.
MemoryPress In Their Own Words

MemoryPress is a service of FamilyLearn. FamilyLearn is the world’s most enjoyed family story library.
Why MemoryPress It Might Be A Killer
MemoryPress fills a MAJOR need in the huge family history market. According to MyFamily.com 24 million Americans (11 percent of those surveyed) have already written a personal or family history. And 33 million Americans (15 percent of those surveyed) want to create a legacy to pass on to future generations.
My Grandpa gave me a copy of his personal history. It was in a folder like the ones I used to turn in my papers at school. I know it would have had a greater impact if it had been in a professionally bound MemoryPress book. I am sure my Grandpa would have loved to have had MemoryPress. I am guessing that most of these 24 million personal and family histories are similar to my grandpa’s.
If MemoryPress can be positioned as the place for publishing your family history it will be a giant success.
