Life360 is a mobile app that has just been released. It has the noble purpose of letting parents protect their children from all kind of nearby threats. When using this application, they become enabled to see a map detailing the position of their loved ones, and also to see both threats and resources in their local areas. For example, they can immediately know about any sex offender that is nearby, and also know where the closest police stations are.
Children and relatives who use Life360 are allowed to check-in to notify you that they are indeed where they should be, and a panic button will let them immediately alert you in the unfortunate event something bad has happened to them.
Both free and premium services are available. The former include GPS tracking, sex offenders monitoring and family alerts. The latter are made up of emergency identification services (with emergency IDs for children of all ages and for all activities), and also a novel service that makes for the recovery of lost items.
Life360.com In Their Own Words
After Hurricane Katrina, many families were turned upside down because of a lack of preparation and resources. People stayed uninformed, didn’t have the proper supplies, and lacked an easy and efficient way to connect to their families to confirm that they were safe. While working on a project at UC Berkeley, the Life360 founding team realized that technology could have been used to better allow parents to protect their families, specifically by keeping their children safe. Life360 is like the neighbor you would find in a small town, we are looking out for the safety of you and your children.
Why Life360.com It Might Be A Killer
An application like this one is what all parents need to ensure their children will be safe at all times, and no matter where they are.
