Konsrtr is a new discovery engine that will let anybody find upcoming gigs in his close vicinity. The way it all works is by taking your current locationas the starting point and then producing a list of gigs that are forthcoming in your close vicinity.
That is the main element which is weighed up here: proximity. There is not really a chance to input criteria like what kind of genre you like best, and neither are you asked about these artists that you can’t get around.
The site does, however, include not only YouTube videos for each artist that crops up but also links to the their Spotify and Last.fm profiles.
That is main value this site has, really – letting you discover artists that are coming to town. If you are a fan of this or the other band, you will already be well-acquainted when it boils to their whereabouts. This site will let you learn about bands you are not familiar with who are playing where you are. The premise is not bad at all, but the lack of at least some elemental refinement options make it all feel a little incomplete.
