Jangl.com – Freedom Rings

Jangl.comJangl.com is a new phone service that gives consumers the ability to receive calls without actually giving out their phone number.

They”ve essentially applied to telephones the idea of “double-blind” e-mail system used by online dating services to ensure anonymity and privacy. Neither the caller nor the receiver knows eachother”s number but rather the call is prefaced by a short announcement saying the caller”s name so their call can be blocked or answered. When you make a Jangle.com account, you provide your phone number, and you get a a PIN and a Jangl ID. You can then give out your Jangle ID wihtout ever having to give out your real number. And later if you don”t want a specific person calling anymore, you can remove the permission to call you and never again be reached through the number.
