inTune is a new Facebook app that lets you discover new music and listen to your favorite songs. It’s a lot like My Music, in that inTune allows you to upload songs from your hard drive to share on Facebook, and also similar to iLike in that you can search through a huge database (at this point, about 80,000 songs) of music.
Some of the more interesting and unique features offered by inTune include a friends bar, which shows you what other friends of yours enjoy the music you’re currently listening to, and a collage feature which offers an aesthetically pleasing display of the album art that corresponds to your musical selection (taken from your “Most played” playlist). Be sure that you have the latest version of Flash Player installed, which you’ll need to view inTune and listen to music.

inTune has some really cool features which other Facebook music applications lack. It’s also convenient that you can upload songs from your hard drive instead of having to browse through a collection and handpick your favorite songs, like you have to do with iLike.
Some Questions About InTune.fm
It’s not clear whether inTune will synch with your iTunes library like My Music does; is this a possible option? If not, will it be at some point in time? There are a lot of Facebook music applications out there, and right now inTune only has 200 registered users versus iLikes’ 600,000-odd members; what will inTune be doing to up its membership and draw users away from other like-minded applications?
