You don’t have to use Instagram for long to realize there are people uploading content that wouldn’t look out of place on a photography magazine. And you wouldn’t think it twice if you were given the chance to use that content to have a prettier background for your Twitter profile, or a nicer cover photo on Facebook. Well, this new service lets you do the former: take Instagram pictures, and have them turned into your background for Twitter.
To use this service, you must sign in with your Twitter account and then supply your Instagram ID. This lets you search images by tags and by category, and when you find something you really like then you can click the “Preview” button to see how it’d look on your background. If the image would indeed look fine on your Twitter account, then you’ll get to use it right away.
You can also have a self-updating Twitter background, and have images that follow the same theme rotated. Or images that come from the same author. You can do it both ways.
And you can also use your very own images. Useful if you’re a photographer, and you want to highlight your own work.
