Turkish online commerce platform Ikas recently accumulated $20 million during a Series A funding round, positioning itself to rival established platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and Wix.

Ikas’s core mission is to streamline online retail operations for businesses aiming to carve out an online presence. The new funding will initiate operations in Eastern Europe and the DaCH region.

Mustafa Namoğlu, co-founder and CEO of Ikas, sees the European market as largely overlooked by U.S. giants and plans to tackle this by offering unique selling propositions, including support for local dialects and a reliable, user-friendly interface.

Despite a monthly subscription fee of €30, Ikas promises swift service, increased conversion rates, and around-the-clock customer support.

The platform’s advanced shipping label management system and reliable payment system are key to Ikas’s user-friendliness and growing popularity amongst online merchants.

Founded in 2017, Ikas has continued offering innovative service solutions. Working with a team of experts, the company has continually delivered efficient and high-quality services to its clientele, contributing to its successful operations in both Turkey and Germany.

The funding round was led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank Group associate, with noteworthy contributions also received from Re-Pie Asset Management and Revo Capital.
