Ifotoyou is a community site for the sharing of photographs. That is nothing new in itself.
Yet, the actual execution is a little different from other sites where people can upload and share their images.
You see, Ifotoyou encourages the sharing of photos between people who are utter strangers. Any person who uses the site will have his own profile ID that he can share with people who he has photographed when he is walking down the street, relaxing at a beach, sitting at a café… The one who takes the snap simple has to tell the one he has photographed about his Ifotoyou profile for him/her to look the images up online later on.
What’s even more interesting, though, is that the site favors the use of hand gestures in order to let the other know he has been photographed. This will be useful when the two people can see each other, but they are at a distance that can’t be closed. By doing the Ifotoyou hand gesture, you are telling the person that you are taking a picture of him and uploading it to the relevant group (IE, the one with the name of the country, the date and the place).
And this hand gesture can also be employed the other way around, as you can use it in order to let a stranger know that you want him to take a picture of you and upload it to Ifotoyou. You will simply have to look in the relevant group to find it when you are back home.

“A brand new and unique concept for sharing photos online…bringing real life back to social networking! The Ifotoyou community is for sharing photos with the people you meet, bump into, and cross paths with while travelling or during every day life. Why Ifotoyou.com It Might Be A Killer
The idea is very original, and if it the site gets its marketing right it can change the way people have always approached the online sharing of photographs.
