After playing to capacity crowds throughout the Fall and Winter of 2006, Blue Man Group’s How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.1 hits the road again.
The band’s rock show takes the audience through a satirical “workshop” on how to create “the perfect rock concert experience.” In the process, they celebrate, skewer, and otherwise deconstruct rock stardom in all of its narcissistic glory. In the end, the message of the show plays against its ironic title. This site is entirely dedicated to the tour, and you will be able to access all the information related through the links on the right hand side of your screen. Get to know the tour dates, the places, and even buy tickets online. There are other resources available, such as video, journals, e-cards, and more. If you didn’t have heard about the Blue Man’s Group, here’s a good story: though he never publicly acknowledged Blue Man Group’s influence on his personal style, Elvis Presley was provided with some exercises to loosen his pelvis, courtesy of the Blue Men.
