HomeMaxima is a free home listing and auction service. Home owners can use the site to sell their own property with or without intermediaries.
They’ve got a few options: the for sale by owner auction or FSBO, and direct postings with or without the help of an agent. Using the FSBO auction, sellers set the auction time a few weeks in advance which allows them to approve bidders. If the property isn’t sold it can be relisted. Buyers must pay Maxima .75% of the property sales price. If the home owner is using an agent, the agent sets the auction date. Buyers must also select an agent to represent himself or herself. Again the buyer must pay a transaction fee of .75% of the sales price.
