Want to have a “real” and “honest” conversation with your friends or family? Hikkup aims to help you do that through anonymous emails or MySpace postings. You simply write a Hikkup (such as, “Do you like Cindy?” or “Am I a good listener?”) and then wait for the person’s response.
You can reveal or hide your identity. The receiver of a Hikkup always responds anonymously, so you can get honest feedback from people. The sent Hikkups and their responses are kept on your “MyHikkup” page. The purpose is to help people write their true feelings about something, try to create a safe forum for a deep conversation, or just get honest feedback about something. You can either send a Hikkup through email, MySpace, Facebook or Tagged.
Hikkup.com In Their Own Words
We are a small team working to bring a new level of consciousness to communications on the web – we call it “honest conversations with friends.”
We believe that anonymity in a social setting between friends and people that we know can help unlock truths about ourselves like never before. This can create shared experiences and new ways of viewing and describing ourselves.
We created Hikkup to be an easy way to express yourself or to get honest feedback from friends about things that are deep and personal or just for fun.

Why Hikkup.com It Might Be A Killer
This concept is clever and original, and for that it has great potential. People always want to know “secret” thoughts and feelings of others, so this plays right into that human curiosity we all have. It can also be a successful manner of getting people to reveal their true feelings about you since their responses are anonymous.
Some Questions About Hikkup.com
Are people really using this site in the way it was intended or are teenagers just sending out anonymous mean messages to unwitting victims/peers? Is there a way to prevent this site from being a haven for bullies? How are they marketing this site? From their blog, it appears they got some good face time on some of the main social networking sites, but their traffic is still pretty low. Also, how are they hoping to make a profit?
