Across industries – food, retail, automobile, energy – the trend is irreversible: consumers favor businesses with sustainable practices. Those that continue to resist or ridicule should expect to see their sales decline while businesses that lead in sustainability will thrive.
People are waking up to the reality that adopting greener habits must happen now if the earth is to remain inhabitable. Climate change and the exhaustion of non-renewable resources demand our immediate attention, planning, and change.
Of course nothing affects how we live and behave more than the buildings and homes in which we live and work. The folks at Green Planet Architects understand that and they are determined to build a greener future for all of us.
A Masterful Green Plan
GreenPlanetArchitects.com is the first international network of sustainable architects. The platform functions as a search engine that connects sustainable architects with clients from all over the world. For homes, commercial spaces, urban planning, landscapes, consulting and more, Green Planet Architects makes it easy for people to hire eco-friendly architects.

Customers browse projects and architects. After selecting an architect to work with (or calling for a competition), they then ask for quotes and can begin turning projects into reality. Green Planet Architects collects no fees on transactions. The business runs on a subscription model, charging architects for maintaining a presence in the directory.
Green Planet Architects gives both established masters and promising newcomers a platform to showcase their talents and generate leads. Architects benefit from an international audience as well as the distinction of being recognized as sustainable architects.
What Does Sustainable Architecture Look Like?
To join the platform, architects must demonstrate their vision of sustainability and prove that they have worked on, designed, or built at least one sustainable project. Projects qualify by meeting the following criteria:
- optimize resources and materials
- reduce energy consumption and use renewable energy
- diminish residue and CO² emissions
- decrease running and maintenance costs of buildings

300 architects from over 70 countries have already joined the young network. There are an estimated 1.5 million architects in the world. Green Planet Architects hopes to see 50,000 profiled on the website within 3 years.
Pioneers of Sustainability
Arlin Morales, Vice President of Operations adds that success will come “once our site becomes THE site to visit when looking for a sustainable architect, product, service or to find information and news about sustainable development.”

Preston Way Residence, Osborne Architects
Along with Morales, Roy Den Hoed and Pedro Almonte round out the co-founding team. They bring together 61 years of combined experience as architects, developers, and entrepreneurs. Working on past projects together, they shared frustration trying to find the right architects for jobs. They realized there wasn’t a space for developers, homeowners, architects, and investors, each interested in sustainable projects, to share their visions. Naturally, they built Green Planet Architects to facilitate connections and to advance sustainable design and construction.
