In nineteen sixty nine the women and men of Seneca Falls, United States, created the National Women’s Hall of Fame to celebrate the contributions of the great women from throughout the history of the United States. The society was created to give these great women a home and some recognition for all there work and achievements.
Ten years after its inception and a major fund raising effort the National Women’s Hall of Fame got itself a permanent home in Seneca Falls where it now displays its exhibits and historical artifacts. The society recognizes women for there achievements and contributions in the fields of the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy and science.
