A new e-commerce application, Pago allows users to browse, order and pay for local goods through their smartphones. On the one hand, this is great for local merchants that are looking for a way to get their wares into the phones of customers, and also to give them a ready chance to pay for these goods that they like right away. On the other hand, consumers are freed the hassle of shopping at local merchants. They no longer will have to wait in line, and a nice bonus is that they’ll be able to buy and send gifts to their friends quicker than ever before.
So, this is a service that enables people to shop at brick and mortar locations using their smartphones. Urban areas that have a high percentage of smartphone users are the obvious target for something like this, and the team behind Pago knows as much – they’re currently serving more than fifty different businesses in Mountain View, California. And Pago is also being used on the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Pago is already available for iPhone, Blackberry and Android. The wraps are going to be taken off a Windows Phone version soon. In all cases, Pago can be downloaded for free. And it can also be used at no cost.
