Those of you who are familiar with the classic board gamer Risk will immediately see a similarity between it and Gocrosscampus. The game play in Gocrosscampus is similar to that of Risk, however instead of playing on a World map, you play with real maps of your area.
The game is currently all the rage at campuses across the country as it allows them to pit one dorm against another or one campus against another. Games go on for days but people only have to play for about 2-minutes per day to keep themselves in the game. People love it because they get to play with a map of their own campus adding a real life feel to a classic game. There is currently some controversy surrounding this game as two separate companies have claimed the rights to it: Gocrosscampus and Turf.
