You have to admit it when a website is truly original. And Game Crush certainly is.
Basically, it is a dating site that is solely aimed at gamers. The whole shtick is that here they will find pretty partners to play online with (“playdates”), and they will also be able to interact with them before and after they have played together… for a fee, of course.
The site actually offers two kind of gaming scenarios: “Arcade” (for casual playing) and “Arena” (for people who take their gaming truly serious). More tellingly, there is a section named “The Academy” where tips and tricks are swapped by playdates with gamers, and the site has also got the equivalent of a red-light district in the section named “The Edge”.
As I said at the beginning, the site is truly original in its approach. It also has a very defined audience (IE nerdy males) that will no doubt find it worth a look at the very least. But I wouldn’t be surprised if others looked askance at it, and wrote the site off as being crass and exploitative.
