FuelClinic.com helps users to reduce fuel consumption and fuel costs by learning and practicing better driving habits.
There are simple tools for tracking mileage performance, coupled with to-be-developed training modules called ‘clinics’ which will clearly demonstrate fuel-saving behaviors.
Users will practice the fuel saving behaviors in their own vehicles, and use the on-line tracking tools to monitor their own success. The system will automatically track performance trends. The clinics with the ‘best’ results across multiple users will gain in ranking, and be recommended to users with similar vehicles.
A commercial version of this application is also being planned. While there are several other sites that help people track their mileage, none of these sites pro actively attempt to improve the mileage of its members.
FuelClinic.com will combine the best of the mileage calculation websites with on-line education tools to create a grass-roots ‘first response’ to the world’s energy crisis. While people can not ‘conserve’ their way out of this mess, conservation is the obvious initial response since it can begin immediately and it requires no new technology and has no additional cost.
