The truth be said, this site is a bit sad. But it offers a service that more than a handful of people are going to use for sure.
You see, Frently allows you to rent friends to hang out with. If you are faced with the prospect of a long and empty afternoon, then you can turn to this site to have someone to socialize with hired. And if you need to go to a party and you don’t want to do it on your own, then you can simply proceed to rent a friend or two and ensure that there will be at least someone who will talk to you once you get there.
As I said at the beginning, I find the existence of such a website a bit depressing. But that is no indictment on the site at all. It is a professional resource, with a very pristine interface and a clear layout. What I find depressing is how such a basic human relation can become commercialized.
Still, I am aware not everybody is going to object to a resource like Frently being available. People who have nothing better to do will be glad to sign up as paid friends, become instantly hireable and earn some money in the process.
