Fiksu (the company behind FreeMyApps) has created a legal alternative to the downloading of paid applications. They let you get what you want by using a credit system. You first have to apply for any of the paid apps that are listed on the site. These include everything from games like Angry Birds and Cut The Rope to apps such as
Camera+. Then, you have to download any of the free apps that have been contributed by developers looking for exposure. You download them from the App Store, and you interact with them for some time (usually, no less than 30 seconds). When you are finished doing that, you’ll get some credits. And when you have enough credits, you’ll get to download the paid app you wanted for free.
For now, this service is available only for iOS. The developer of the free app pays Fiksu for its services, and that money is split between Fiksu and the developer of the paid app. The developer of the paid app has got to pay the standard 30% cut to Apple, but he gets to keep the rest for himself.
