FormatPixel is a webtop publisher that is much more impressive then the name would suggest. Catering to the visual end of the publishing spectrum, this Flash-based app packs an elegant punch.
It’s not unnecessarily heavy weight nor loaded with difficult to learn intricacies. The Vanilla package is free however, you’re options are limited to one project. Choose the Apple package for a modicum 15 pound per year and you’ll get five projects and 5Meg of storage. Chocolate is the costliest of the bunch at 40 quid per annum but you’re allotted 20 projects and 20 Megs of storage. All in all, you won’t go bust and you’ll be able to create some slick brochures or zines quite easily. Among the features you’ll find are object import, cropping, scaling, export, embedding, layering, and links to YouTube among other things.
