This website is the Florida History Internet Center. It provides information for students, teachers, and Floridians.
You can browse the site by its many categories located at the left hand side of the homepage. These categories are: Almanac, Florida Symbols, Florida Timeline, Historic Places, Florida Census, Historical Societies, Florida Museums, and Historic Sites. You will access to mini-photographic tours of Florida topics. These pages contain at least twelve thumbnails and descriptions of Florida places, events, or people. You can click on a photo to see a large version of each photograph. If you are a teacher, here you will find free Florida history maps and workbook pages at the Florida history workbook corner. This website provides information on where the best forts are, which the museums art are, where you can find airplane and ship exhibits and ethnic museums, and much more. So after visiting this site you can take driving or walking tours along the historic buildings and places of Florida, and click on the links at each section to locate nearby hotels, restaurants, and attractions.
