The Division of Historical Resources is within Florida’s Department of state. It focuses on promoting areas such as history, archeology, museums and folk culture.
This is its site and it is one of the ways for this division to reach more people in Florida and the rest of the world. It is divided in five sections which are Preservation, Archaeology, Museum, Publications and Grants. In each section we can find lots of information on different programs being performed nowadays, reviews and surveys among others. In the Publication Section different magazines are available, a list of online resources to read from and also many other Heritage Trails publications. In the Grant section you can read about different funding that was made in the last couple of years and to which area of study. Press releases related to the subject are also published in this site sorted out by chronological order showing the latest information and media coverage.
