Though certainly not the only site in its style, FashionChateau.com is really so much more than an eCommerce site selling clothes and accessories for women: it’s also a very nicely designed site with loads of nice functionalities designed to help customers buy not only an item they feel comfortable with, but also browse galleries of styles and looks, build a fully customized profile where to store not just their favorites, but to use as a sort of fashion portfolio where to keep track of looks they like, bookmark the brands and outfits they like the best, or share them with friends and store buddies.
The site can be searched by brands and categories, and several pictures presenting front, rear and details are featured (which is something not all eCommerce apparel sites provide, mind you); strangely enough, if a model is wearing a dress with a tank beneath, you can only buy the item you are taking a look at (the dress or the tank), and won’t get links to the other item. I was also expecting the site to present some suggestions or ‘if you liked this, you might be interested in…’ area, but none is to be found on FashionChateau.com; the site is still very user-friendly, though.
