Facebox, despite its name, is not a new social networking site. It’s actually a new lightbox image display created for Facebook.
The folks at Facebox found the image display on Facebook needed some updating. One of the main uses for Facebook is, afterall, to post and display photos and images. So why not make the displays prettier? Facebox uses jQuery. It’s a downloadable application. Use the lightbox to display divs or entire remote pages as well as images. Once installed, images will display as a pop up. This makes it extremely handy to use when you want to use it for a new page. It keeps things a lot neater and you can reuse it. Facebox is free to use too. Just download the tarball.
