This site is based on being fast and user friendly. It’s something I’ve wanted and haven’t found so I built it. It’s dead easy and I use it myself all the time. As an experienced internet user if I’m finding a lot of value in it I think others would too. As people’s libraries grow it would become even better being able to match like-minded libraries and generate recommendations with minimal effort. Last.fm and pandora.com – require you to listen to radio to hear new stuff, which is time consuming. Amazon.com – bases recommendations on items I bought 5 years ago – not what’s relevant to me now. iLike.com – uploading itunes playlists is also irrelevant if stuff I played lots 18 months ago is no longer a favorite, and I listen to stuff off my iPod so my ipod doesn’t reflect everything. Quickly browsing top seller categories is killer for discovering new stuff outside your normal tastes. Plus you can quickly base even more recommendations derived from top sellers.
