PediaX is an Ajax mirror of Wikipedia. It brings you Wikipedia on Google Maps.
There are apparently 50,000 geo-referenced articles available. Also, PediaX shows the twenty most popular places in the selected area of the map. Zooming in or out automatically updates the information on the map. Move over the map to see markers for locations that Wikipedia has an entry. Click on any marker and a brief description of the article will come up. Other main features include: autocompletion on searches, usage data stats, auto magnification, and article intros are preloaded as you hover over a link. Options for viewing include country, province, region, and natural land formations. A newsletter is also available.
