E-3 Tech, a startup led by Rudy Adolf and Rajini Kodialam, has acquired Sylvan Inc., a construction company. The deal will bring advanced technology to Sylvan’s operations. E-3 Tech has backing from venture capital firm Andreesen Horowitz.

The acquisition gives E-3 Tech a controlling interest in Sylvan. A spokesperson for E-3 Tech said, “Bringing cutting-edge tech to the construction industry will allow Sylvan to accelerate growth and innovation.”

Adolf and Kodialam previously co-founded the RIA financier Focus Financial Partners. They are now steering E-3 Tech into new sectors.

This shows their leadership skills in both finance and tech. The acquisition aims to revolutionize the construction industry. It will use technology to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project management.

Sylvan Inc. is a multi-trade construction company.

E-3 Tech acquisition accelerates Sylvan innovation

It works on large, complex projects in data centers, energy, automotive, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas. By partnering with E-3 Tech, Sylvan will access “built-tech” innovations. It will also pursue acquisitions to expand services and locations.

The current management team and investors, including Blue Point Capital, will remain shareholders in Sylvan. Metz will continue as CEO.

Adolf will become non-executive Chairman of the holding company. E-3 Tech focuses on partnering with entrepreneurial management teams. It aims to drive growth, innovation, and long-term value through technology and acquisitions.
