The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd to mentor manufacturing startups. The partnership will introduce a module-based workshop series to address challenges faced by startups in areas like financial management, compliance, marketing, digitization, and investment preparedness. Shri Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary of Startup India, said the initiative has the potential to empower startups with tools and insights needed to navigate the complex business landscape.

“Ultimately, our aim is to establish a viable ecosystem where innovation thrives, contributing to India’s leading position in entrepreneurship and economic growth globally,” stated Singh. Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director of Startup India, said the collaboration is important in fostering sustainable businesses that can compete domestically and internationally.

He noted that the partnership with Tally Solutions represents a shift, creating synergies needed for a strong startup foundation. Shri Tejas Goenka, Managing Director of Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

“At Tally, we focus on equipping entrepreneurs with the right tools, technology, and knowledge to help them grow their businesses. The effort that DPIIT has been making to support this ecosystem has been incredible, and we are proud to partner with them,” said Goenka. Tally Solutions will offer support including hands-on training, case studies, and expert-led sessions to assist startups in streamlining operations, adopting scalable practices, and positioning themselves for growth.

The initiative includes:

– Free one-year rental licenses of Tally Prime software for participants
– Modules covering areas like accounting, tax compliance, marketing, digitization, and investor readiness
– Networking opportunities with industry mentors and peers
– Post-workshop support to ensure sustained learning and improvements

This collaborative effort marks a key step in fostering a more resilient and innovative startup ecosystem in India’s manufacturing sector.
