The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd to mentor manufacturing startups. The partnership aims to provide startups with the skills they need in financial management and marketing strategies. Shri Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary of Startup India, said the initiative will empower startups with practical tools to deal with the challenges of today’s business world.
“Ultimately, our aim is to put in place a viable ecosystem where innovation thrives, contributing to India’s leadership in entrepreneurship and economic growth across the globe,” he said. Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director of Startup India, called the partnership a “paradigm shift” in supporting startups.
DPIIT and Tally empower startups
He said it will help them build a strong foundation to compete in domestic and global markets. Shri Tejas Goenka, MD of Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd, emphasized the importance of supporting Indian entrepreneurs.

As part of the collaboration, Tally Solutions will provide:
– Free one-year rental licenses of Tally Prime software for participants
– Training modules on accounting, tax compliance, marketing, digitization, and investor readiness
– Networking opportunities with industry mentors and peers
– Post-workshop support for continued learning and improvements
