DiscoverET.org, formerly known as KORR.
net, is the nonprofit community network and regional web portal that connects people and resources in East Tennessee. Their valuable mission is to use the Internet and related technologies to promote dialogue and community in the region. For this purpose and to completely fulfill their mission, DiscoverET.org operates the only independent, non-profit web portal to web-based resources throughout the 16-county region of East Tennessee. It hosts web sites and other Internet-related services for more than 260 non-profit organizations in the 16 counties. Moreover this community and its online site Promotes democratic access to information technology, by supporting the CHIPS program, Computers for Homebound and Isolated Persons, to lessen the social isolation of homebound persons.
