DirProtect is a generator which protects your website directories. It’s a simple process, all in all, described on the site with picture details.
In the example you fittingly create a directory called example. To protect it you’ve got a file called .htaccess which goes within ‘example’ to protect it. From there another file, .htpasswd, is put into the same directory to add a password to the previously added username function. Once you’ve done putting those two files into the directory (you need to know your server path in order to complete the code for inserting these files), send the directory to your own website with the directory name, (in this case, example) in the url. You will then be prompted for a username and password. Once you’ve done that, your directory is protected.
