DeskAway.com In Their Own Words

“DeskAway is the flagship software service of Synage Software Pvt. Ltd., a web software firm located in downtown Mumbai, India. Founded in 2005 by entrepreneur Sahil Parikh, as a web design and development firm, Synage has transformed itself into a SaaS company – delivering business software over the Internet through a subscription model.
Why Did We Build DeskAway?
While managing multiple (sometimes over 30) projects simultaneously, we noticed that it got cumbersome keeping track of everything related to these projects via email. There were revisions to files and documents, people had comments and provided feedback, there were tasks that needed to be delegated and tracked. We just couldn’t do all of this through email and still work efficiently and smoothly. Bottom line, we were spending far too much time finding and planning things that were already planned just because there was no single place where everything was stored. Some of us loved to grab a martini after work and the others wanted to get back home feeling that the day was well spent ‘working smart’!

We did research on other project management applications out there but they were either too complicated and expensive or too ‘cutsie’ to be enterprise level. We decided to make DeskAway into a ‘simple’, ‘affordable’ and ‘powerful’ application.

Finally, taking matters into our own (capable) hands, we started building a simple project management system which has now grown into DeskAway.

Our vision for DeskAway is to create a single window through which organizations can manage and track their work, thereby increasing team productivity and growth.”
