Crunch.fm is a service that comes at a time in which many people all over Europe feel they have been coldly betrayed by Spotify, the service of choice for listening to (and sharing) music over there. As I am sure you know, Spotify has seriously limited the way in which users can play and share songs, and imposed some heavy restrictions for those who sign up for a free account. For example, these individuals are only allowed to listen to 30 seconds of each song after a trial period has ended.
That has obviously been done because the company is to launch in the US, and major steps to make it look better in the eyes of record companies over here had to be taken. But users are reasonable irked. And they will eagerly turn to services like this one.
In essence, Crunch.fm lets anybody search for songs and have them shared on his Twitter timeline. Others will be able to listen to them merely by clicking on their names. Songs can be looked both by artist and by title, and people are allowed to share as much as they want on Crunch.fm. At no point is anything charged, and the service is accessed just by signing in using your Twitter handle and password.
