First established in the year 1979, Context Institute is a non-lucrative research organization that explores what is named “Humane sustainable culture”. This concept entails an ideal and a vision of a good life for everybody within a culture or society that does not need to deplete or predate the environment just in order to sustain itself.
The organization publishes a quarterly magazine that is named “In Context”. This publication deals with a specific theme per issue, and it provides voices and perspectives that aim to create a whole and thorough system understanding. A library of past articles is featured online, and the visitor can browse through more than 1,000 articles thanks to the provided navigation menu. Back issues can also be purchased by following the relevant link. Further resources include a free e-mail newsletter, while a web store can be visited and every sale supports the organization and its studies.
