CodePink, a grassroots movements started by women, may be the place for you. On November 17, 2002, Medea Benjamin, Starhawk, Jodie Evans, Diane Wilson and some 100 or so women marched on Washington to protest the pre-emptive strike on Iraq.

They staged a four month sit-in in front of the White House. Thus started CodePink. Ever since, it has grown into a world-wide movement working towards ending the war in Iraq and building peace. The site itself features a wealth of resources on getting involved. There´s a list of campaigns—‘Impeachment Day,´ ‘Peace Surge,´ and ‘Occupation Projection´ are just a few of the missions planned by CodePink. You´ll also find tools for planning events and founding local groups.
