Today’s Killer Startup: ChefsFeed

Elevator Pitch:
ChefsFeed is local restaurant recommendations and reviews from chefs.
Why It’s A Killer Startup:
By a lot of standards, you could call me a foodie. I grew up in Vermont, where local foods and craft beers have been the thing for like, the past 30 years. I have carried that ethos into my adult life. There’s nothing I love more than a truly good meal – the extra ten pounds I carry are mainly due to the fact that I can’t help eating some of my boyfriend’s food when we go out, no matter what it is. He’s joking that his weight loss is due to my constant grazing… which is probably true.
However, I obviously don’t know as much about food as, say, a chef. I know what I like, but I don’t necessarily know enough to know when something new is awesome. That’s why apps like ChefsFeed are so fantastic — you’re getting the recommendation straight from the expert.
The app connects the true “cook or die” chefs directly with foodies and wannabe foodies like me. They’ll recommend their favorite spots for their favorite foods, letting you skip around the crowded spaces populated by other Foursquarers and leading you straight to the good stuff. You can search for the dishes you want; follow your favorite chefs for their personal recommendations, event information, and dining out info; or check out the videos and stories that pull you into a deep dive into the restaurant industry.
ChefsFeed is an app for true foodies, not just fatties like me who love to eat delicious things and feel no shame about it. If you’re tired of the “wisdom” of the crowd and ready to get your opinions from the people who really know what they’re talking about, hit up ChefsFeed for the best in expert advice in restaurants throughout the US and Canada.
