Cadillac, you might now, is the name of a city in Michigan and is named thus for the same reason the car received the name: to honor Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, who discovered Detroit in early 18th century.
That’s old news, though: if you want to know what’s going on in Cadillac these days, CadillacNews.com is the way to go, as it is home for one of the local dailies. While extremely unattractive and dull when it comes to design and features, the aim of the site is indeed fulfilled: carrying a mix of text articles and image galleries, you can learn all about weather, sports, local community and news on the site, read selected highlights from past issues and browse/search the archives as well. I was shocked to see that no RSS subscription services are available from the site, as it is quite clear that’s a service almost mandatory for any news outlet nowadays, even if it’s a local newspaper.
